Alison McIntosh Bio

Allison McIntosh is an integral part of the Adventures Around the World marketing team. Originally from New Hampshire, Allison moved to Breckenridge, Colorado in 2000 and graduated from CU Boulder in 2003 with a degree in Graphic Design and Cultural Anthropology. A lover of travel, Allison then spent the better part of a year traveling abroad, backpacking through destinations such as New Zealand, Australia, Southeast Asia and Spain. At the end of this trip, Allison knew she wanted to pursue a career in design to help further people’s knowledge of adventure and travel opportunities.

After her travels she decided to return to Breckenridge to enjoy a life full of outdoor activities such as skiing, mountain biking and trail running. She also got a job as a graphic designer for Spin Creative Studio, where her projects were focused in the ski industry with clients such as Vail Resorts, Keystone Mountain and Specialty Sports Ventures. It was here that she obtained an extensive knowledge of the advertising and print industry, as well as marketing and brand strategy.

After spending two years at Spin, Allison decided to move from Breckenridge to Santa Cruz, California for a change in climate and to live where surfing and mountain biking opportunities abound. From here Allison assists Adventures Around the World’s design efforts and marketing strategy, having helped to achieve a new brand identity with the design of the logo and marketing materials. She now enjoys a career as a freelance graphic artist and marketing consultant, balancing her work with time at the beach or on the trail.
