Australia is an Island with the same land mass as the United States. There are a wide variety of opportunities for every kind of traveler in this incredible country. This trip was designed for a small family that was looking for the more unique acitivities during their full month stay in Australia. I love this trip because it really travels to some incredible locations and because the family wanted to stay fairly active they enjoy activities from sailing to biking during their stay. The trip is designed a s a Self-Guided tour but could easily be adjusted to a Premier Guided Adventure.
Australia Grand Adventure
Day 1: Arrive to Adelaide, Australia. Private shuttle at the airport to pick you up and take you to your hotel.
Day 2 and 3: Adelaide. You have the next several days with your family to explore Adelaide and the surrounding regions. You all will be staying at 4 star accommodation.
Day 4 to 6: Bike Flinders Range. For the next three days you will go on an up close and personal 3-day biking adventure throughout Flinders Range.
Day 7: Fly to Alice Springs, All three of you will fly to Alice Springs to stay the night and begin your Red Centre tour early tomorrow morning.
Day 8 to 11: Red Centre Adventure Tour. For the next four days you will enjoy exploring the ancient land of the magnificent outback on a guided tour explaining and leading you through some of the most amazing sights of Australia. On Sunday, you all will take an early afternoon flight to Cairns and transfer to your eco-resort in the Daintree Rainforest to stay the night.
Day 12 to 15: Eco-resort in the Daintree Rainforest. 4 nights in the remarkable Daintree Eco-lodge will have you experiencing an ecological environment surrounded by exquisite natural beauty. You can relax, or enjoy any of the activities offered at the resort and surrounding areas. On Thursday morning you all will be transferred back to Cairns to catch a bus for an afternoon departure to Airlie Beach (11 hours). Accommodations tonight will be in Airlie Beach.
Day 16: Airlie Beach
The day is yours to relax, walk around the town, recoup from the long bus ride. Another night spent in Airlie Beach.
Day 17 to 21: Sailing the Whitsundays
Discover the wonder of some of the most beautiful beaches in the world on a 3 day, 3 night sailing getaway through the Whitsundays. Sink your feet into the white, silica sands of world-famous Whitehaven Beach. Or simply sail at sunset across our crystal-clear waters. Tuesday night will be spent back in Airlie Beach.
Day 22: Adelaide. All three of you will take a morning flight from Prosperine to Brisbane then continue onto Adelaide. The day is yours to relax and recoup. The night in spent back in Adelaide.
Day 23 to 25: Kangaroo Island. For the next two days you and your family will rent a car to self-drive and explore ‘one of the earth’s last unspoilt refuges.’ Kangaroo Island is an island seven times the size of Singapore, literally crawling with wildlife. The koalas aren't being cuddled - they're relaxing at home in native trees. The seals aren't performing - they're lazing beside you on the beach. There are echidnas, platypus, goannas, wallabies and kangaroos. All thriving. All mesmerizing. Wednesday night will be spent on Kangaroo Island. Thursday afternoon you all will return to Adelaide to stay the night.
Day 26 to 27: Adelaide. Final days are at your leisure and desires.
Day 28: Fly back to U.S.
