Day 1: Melbourne - Welcome to Australia!
Upon arrival at the Melbourne International Airport, you will be  privately transferred to your accommodations in the city. The remainder of the day is free for you to explore the surrounding area, relax and adjust to the time difference. This evening enjoy a the wonders of Melbourne as you dine and explore this cultural mecca. (No Meals) Accommodations at the Citigate Melbourne.

Day 2: Melbourne - Leisure Day
After breakfast today you will have a full day at your lesire to explore Melbourne. Visit the botanical gardens, the CBD, St. Kilda and the numerous neighborhoods.  The evening is free for you to enjoy in Melbourne or relaxing at your accommodations. (B) Accommodations at the Citigate Melbourne.

Day 3: Melbourne - Morning Hot Air Balloon Ride, Afternoon free
Today after an early breakfast you will fly high above the city for a one hour hot air balloon ride, drifting over parks, gardens and iconic sporting venues. Your pilot will give you a short briefing, and you will then be transferred to the launch site. You will be encouraged to assist with the set up and pack away of the balloon * Please note: as tour departs prior to sunrise it can be extremely cold depending on the time of year, so layered clothing is recommended which can be removed as the day warms up. Wear clothes as for hiking, sturdy shoes, warm socks, a cap and sunglasses, and don't forget your camera! The afternoon is free for whatever you wish. (B) Accommodations at the Citigate Melbourne.

Day 4: Melbourne to Ayers Rock - Morning flight to Ayers Rock
Today after enjoying breakfast you will be transferred to the Domestic Airport for your flight to Ayers Rock. Your driver will meet you  you in the arrivals hall near the baggage claim area, for private vehicle transfer to your hotel. After settling into your hotel you will be able to enjoy the Uluru area at your leisure. (B) Accommodations at the Desert Garden Hotel.

Day 5: Ayers Rock - Sunrise and tour of Uluru,  Evening Sunset Motorcycle Ride
Arise early today to depart one hour prior to sunrise to enjoy a picnic breakfast and view the sunrise over Uluru - a spectacular sight worth the lack of sleep! A series of short guided walks take you to areas of special interest at the base of Uluru where Aboriginal art will be viewed and culture and creation time stories explained.  In the evening you will be whisked away for an Ayers Rock Sunset motorcycle tour. Watch the sun set over Uluru whilst enjoying a glass of champagne. (B) Accommodations at the Desert Garden Hotel.

Day 6: Ayers Rock to Cairns - Morning Camel Ride, Afternoon flight to Cairns
Today after an early breakfast you will be transferred to enjoy a camel ride amongst the red sand dunes to watch the sunrise. After the ride, enjoy billy tea at the camel depot. After the camel riding experience you will be returned to your hotel to pack up your belongings. You will then be privately transferred to the Domestic Airport for your flight to Cairns. Upon your arrival you will be met by your guide for private vehicle transfer to your hotel. (B) Accommodations at the Grand Mercure Rockford Esplanade Palm Cove.

Day 7: Cairns - Day at your leisure
Today will be at your leisure to explore Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef.  (B) Accommodations at the Grand Mercure Rockford Esplanade Palm Cove.

Day 8: Cairns - Sailing and Snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef
Today you will spend the day sailing the great wide open. You will be privately transferred to your high performance sailing catamaran for a day trip to the Great Barrier Reef, a World Heritage Site. Learn to sail or simply enjoy the sunshine on the way out. At the reef, enjoy a guided snorkeling tour. You will depart ship in Port Douglas to then be transferred back to your accommodations. (B, L) Accommodations at the Grand Mercure Rockford Esplanade Palm Cove.

Day 9: Cairns - Day at your leisure
Today will be at your leisure to explore Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef.  (B) Accommodations at the Grand Mercure Rockford Esplanade Palm Cove.

Day 10: Cairns - Return Flight Home
After breakfast, you will be driven to the Cairns Airport to catch your return flight home. (B)

Please review the AAW Terms and Conditions before payment, as you are bound by our Terms, Conditions, Payment and Cancellation policies once we receive your deposit.

What's Next?
Once we have received your trip deposit, one of our adventure travel professionals will provide you with pre-departure trip information and packing lists, as well as a guest information questionnaire and liability release form to be returned within 10 days. After that, we will handle all of the details as you relax and get ready for the adventure of a lifetime!

  • Your deposit of 25% of the total cost of your vacation is due immedetely upon booking. The balance is due 60 days prior to departure.
  • The price shown is per person NET, and does not include international air fare to/from the trip start point.
  • Prices are based on current rates of exchange, government fees, tarrifs and taxes. Any increases between quote date and start date are payable by the client.
  • We will exercise best efforts to book hotels per the itinerary, however, in busy seasons and with client bookings made within 90 days of tour date we may be forced to offer substitutes. We will endeavour to confirm final hotel bookings as soon as possible.
  • Cancellation - Cancellations 60 days or more prior to departure will be subject to a 5% cancellation fee. 60-30 days will be subject to loss of 50% of trip cost. 30-15 days will be subject to loss of 75% of trip cost. 15 days or less will be subject to 100% of program price.
  • Payment of the program price constitutes your acceptance of the Terms and Conditions set out by Adventures Around the World.
