Bhutan’s climate is variable, unpredictable and depends on location; the south can be tropical, the centre mild and temperate, while the north cold. Avoiding monsoon season, June through August, is highly recommended as it is very rainy. Visiting Bhutan in the spring or fall, late September to late November, is an ideal time to travel as the sky is clear and the top peaks of the Himalayas are visible. October and November are even more ideal as Bhutan has several exciting festivals during these months.
