SAN JOSE AND THE CENTRAL VALLEY
As the capital of Costa Rica and the primary arrival point for most tourists, San Jose and the Central Valley have a lot to offer visitors. Whether it’s the many shopping opportunities or a cultural tour throughout the city, explorations of this vibrant area are sure to mesmerize you. Nearly two-thirds of Costa Rica’s population live in this area. Opportunities abound both in the city and the surrounding hills to visit historical sites, vast tea gardens, active volcanoes, and tumbling tropical waterfalls. The rafting explosion in Costa Rica began near this diverse area, and the adventure and excitement of river trips down the Rio Pacuare, rated one of the ten best rivers in the world, keeps visitors coming back. Dinner can be enjoyed at a gourmet restaurant or at a local food stand, and accommodations range from exotic to luxurious.
TORTUGUERO AND THE NORTHERN CARIBBEAN
In this isolated and unspoiled part of Costa Rica, you can travel down remote rivers and view exotic and rare wildlife. During mating season, it is possible to view dolphins and whales in the calm Golfo Dulce, and nearby Cano Island is one of the best places to enjoy snorkeling and diving in all of Costa Rica. MONTEVERDE AND ARENAL

CHIRRIPO NATIONAL PARK
This breathtaking national park is home to Costa Rica’s highest mountain, Cerro Chirripo (3820 m). This multi-day trip carries you through the remote Costa Rican mountains, with amazing views and a beautiful mountain lodge for a unique hiking experience.
